You would be responsible for conducting thorough research and analysis, establishing component level and assembly level, structurally and functionally optimal and reliable designs. The role involves working closely with the Product Designer and the Engineering team to design the specifications for the product.
PhD (work experience not mandatory) or M.Sc/M-tech in Mechanical Engineering with 4-5 years of work experience in CAE, FE and mechanical design including academic projects, industrial R&D projects
Deep understanding of Kinematics, Dynamics, Mechanics of Materials and Design of Structures including Vibrations.
Very strong base in mathematical topics – Integral + Differential Calculus, ODE + PDE, Vector Calculus, Linear Algebra and Laplace Transform
Sound knowledge of design and engineering principles and best practices.
It’s a huge plus if you have -
Experience/knowledge of manufacturing methods and DFM
Experience/knowledge with scientific programming on python/Matlab.
Experience/knowledge with CAD tools such as Solidworks/NX etc.
What’s in it for you:
You will be an integral part of the core founding team of an early-stage startup that can potentially change the way we build the world around us and disrupt one of the oldest and the largest industries in the world. You will be designing products that can change the landscape of construction, become ubiquitous in project sites and be synonymous with construction of the future (Think of JCB and Tower Cranes of today)
We can promise you an environment that promotes unhindered innovation. It’s a blank board and you have the opportunity to build something from scratch. Since it’s a startup, you would come across a lot of challenges and there would never be a dull moment at work. There is an immense learning opportunity as you would get to wear multiple hats.
Please note that we don’t necessarily expect to find a candidate that has done everything listed or possesses all the required skill sets but you should be able to make a credible case that you have done most of it and are keen on learning new things on the job.
